Mrs. Mendez, Mrs. Montgomery, Mr. Page

Thank you

Thank you to our students, families and community for the amazing support throughout our concert and fundraising season. All music groups performed incredible concerts and thanks to all of you, we raised over $22,000 for the performing arts through our SnapRaise! fundraiser. Big picture

Wreath Fundraiser

The Manning School Performing Arts Department will once again be selling holiday wreaths as a fundraiser. The Performing Arts Department will use these funds towards clinicians, instruments, costumes, sets, props, accompanist fees, music, upgrading technology, festival expenses and so forth.

Wreaths should be sold to family and friends for $27 each and will be delivered the week after Thanksgiving! They typically arrive Tuesday or Wednesday and we will make an announcement the day they arrive. They come in boxes of 10. Please bring adequate transportation if you ordered several wreaths! If you have a 6th grader, please watch your email for the wreath announcement. We will be here after school until 4:00 pm that week so parents can come pick up wreaths through the auditorium doors. Please do not wait for your 6th grader to return to get the wreaths, they will not do well packed in the box that long. Please open boxes so wreaths can breathe and deliver to your customers quickly so the wreaths stay as fresh as possible.

Individual Sales start October 25th and run through November 2nd.

Make checks payable to your seller and the seller will write one big check to Manning once sales are complete.

We are selling the 22” Noble Fir Wreath for $27 each!

Once students are done selling, please fill out this form and send a check (written to Manning) for all wreaths by NOVEMBER 2nd. Orders that are not received by Nov. 2nd will not be included.

CMEA-Resonance

Resonance has been selected to sing at the Colorado Music Educator's Association Conference (CMEA). This is a high honor and is a very exciting opportunity. Students will be traveling down to CO Springs after school on Friday, Jan. 26th on a charter bus, eating dinner at Fargo's Pizza then staying the night at the Broadmoor Hotel. Their concert will be in Broadmoor Hall B at 10:00 am and we will have free tickets for families to attend. Students will ride home from CO Springs with parents. We are hoping to use fundraising to cover most expenses for this opportunity but will communicate with families as soon as we know more details.

Frozen Jr!

Students are required to attend the dress rehearsal to perform in the performances! It is MANDATORY.

Students in periods 1, 3, 6A should bring a hearty snack and water bottle for after school on dress rehearsal day. Periods 2, 5, 6B should eat dinner before returning to school. ALL students need to be in costume!

We are providing most of the costumes/props/sets for the show. See below for items your student will need to provide. We are asking performers to get a few things on their own. If this is an issue, please let us know.

We need all students (see exceptions below) to come prepared with a set of “clothes.” Some of them will be wearing several costumes and need something simple underneath and others will use these as part of their costume.

6th grade

  • Black long sleeved T- shirt (round collar)

  • Black leggings/pants/joggers

  • Black socks (that go up the ankle so we do not see skin) they will bring these in and put puffy paint on the sole to prevent slipping. These are needed by 11/10/22
