SAIL- Summer Adventures in Learning
SAIL (Summer Adventures in Learning), our Summer elementary program, is now open for all students across the district. SAIL will consist of math, reading, and 2 enrichments for current Kinder-4th grade. 5th grade will consist of math, reading, science, and 1 enrichment. We will also have a specific GT strand this year! Here is the SAIL registration link. The deadline to register for SAIL will be May 5th. Our students who have participated in the past have had wonderful experiences!
Help BISD Improve
Belton ISD is conducting a survey of families to better understand their experience in the district and at your child’s school. Perspectives from families are important to help district leaders understand areas of strength and determine areas for improvement. BISD parents/guardians will receive the survey through an email from the research team from gibsonsurveys@qemailserver.com. The survey closes March 31.
Transfer Students
The transfer application window is scheduled for March 6 - March 31. All students who do not live in the attendance zone for Sparta Elementary must submit a transfer application for the 2023-2024 school year. This includes current approved transfer students and employees. The transfer applications for both intradistrict and interdistrict transfers can be found on https://www.bisd.net/transfer but will not be live until March 6th. Guidelines for approval can also be found on the website.
Watch DOGS
We have open dates on the calendar for you! We would love for new Watch DOGS or returning Watch DOGS to sign up. Please make sure you visit the the BISD website and fill out the Volunteer paperwork. Scroll all the way down to "Volunteer" on the job listings.

Big Red Heart Awards
The Belton ISD Big Red Heart Award is designed to recognize staff members who live out the Belton ISD Vision of Empowering each and every learner to pursue their dreams and enrich their communities. We also want to recognize staff who practice the Belton ISD Values and Beliefs through their actions, and demonstrate the competencies of World Class Employees as they guide our students through their Journey of a Graduate.
Transportation
Please communicate with the office if your child's transportation changes. Call 215-3600 before 2:00pm to make any changes. Please do not email your child's teacher. They are busy teaching and might miss the communication.
Walkers/Bike Riders- These students are escorted to the gate by Chisholm Trail park. They are not supervised by Sparta staff after they leave Sparta property and should be heading home.
Atrium Walk Up- Parents park in the large lot between Belton Middle School and Sparta and walk up to the atrium entrance for pick up.
Car Rider Line- Parents drive through the front area of Sparta and students are loaded into the car on the right side.
Bus Riders/Daycare- Students load these buses/vans at school. Please send students with bus tags each day.
Lunch Times
You are welcome to eat lunch with your student. Please bring your driver's license and sign in through the office.

22-23 Updated COVID Protocols
Belton ISD will remain in Scenario 1 of our COVID-19 Response Plan as we start the 2022-2023 school year. Students and staff are still expected to self-screen for symptoms. The main change in protocol that families should note is that anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 will only be excluded from school or work for five days from the positive test or start of symptoms. We will continue to notify close contacts but will not send campus or classroom notifications. Learn more at www.bisd.net/covid.
