Summer Reading
Students will be coming to the library next week to check out books for the summer. Students who have returned all books (except any they are keeping for summer) are eligible for summer check-out. If your child has a lost or damaged book, they may pay for the book or donate a similar book in its place. Parents are also welcome to come check out books. Remember parents do not have a book limit. The library will be open all week.
In addition the library has ebooks and eAudiobooks available on the library website by clicking here. Read online or download the Follett App. Younger kids can also use the link to access Bookflix from Scholastic.
And don't forget, there are many great summer reading programs available for your child to participate in around San Diego. Barnes and Noble has a great summer reading program where kids can earn a free book and other prizes. Your child can also participate in the San Diego Public Library or the San Diego County Library's Summer Reading Program. Links for all three programs can be found below.
Free Childs Ticket for the San Diego Fair!
Come by the library and pick-up a Reading Certificate for the San Diego County Fair. Children 12 years old and younger can read 10 books, fill out the certificate (see picture below) and turn it into the fair by July 5th for a free ticket.
Have a great summer and Happy Reading!
