eLearning Day Reminders

As we continue to hear about snow possibly approaching our area, please see below for a few reminders:

  • E-learning will be posted on the canvas calendar by all teachers by 10:00 AM.

  • Students have 5 school days to complete their e-learning assignments.

  • Teachers will not ask your child to do anything on an e-learning day that they have not already done in class.

  • Mistakes happen and sometimes technology doesn’t work. This is a great opportunity to model for kids how to keep calm when something isn’t working and be a resilient problem solver.

  • Encourage your child to send a Canvas message to communicate with their teacher in regards to any questions or technology issues.

  • Teachers are available until 3:45 PM to help your child with any questions they have.

  • Let your child do as much as they can by themselves. All that teachers ask on an e-learning day is that they are trying their best to work through it. If teachers see missing parts they will reach out to your student, or send communication via email to you, or check in with them at school. You do not need to email teachers once it is complete. We are constantly monitoring during the day.

  • Child forgot their iPad at school? Please call the front office to schedule a pick-up time, or access Canvas from a device at home.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten enrollment packets for the 2023-2024 school year are available for pick-up in SACS' elementary school offices beginning February 6, 2023, 8:00-4:00

Who can register?

Any child residing in the SACS district who attains the age of five on or before October 1, 2023 may enroll in kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year.

Ready for Kindergarten?

Kindergarten is an important milestone in a child's life, it's their first step into formal education. As parents/caregivers you may be asking yourself if your child is ready. SACS educators have complied some helpful kindergarten information: Ready for Kindergarten?

What's needed to register a student? In addition to completing the registration packet, the following documents must be provided with the registration paperwork before any student is registered:
  • Copy of child's birth certificate
  • Child's immunization records
  • Two proofs of residency and a copy of the parent/guardian photo ID

Clothing Donations

The clinic is in need of all sizes of pants with either an elastic or drawstring waist. Also, if their child has borrowed any clothes from the clinic, please return them as we are in need of them.
