May Crowning and Volunteer Appreciation Brunch
During the month of May, the Catholic church honors Mary, the Blessed Mother of Jesus. This annual tradition for Corpus Christi Catholic School takes place this Friday, May 4th. As part of the May Crowning ceremony, each student is asked to bring a flower to place in front of the Blessed Mother to give thanks to her for bringing our Savior into the world.
This is also a special day for our eighth grade class as they dress in their Sunday best. During the ceremony, two graduating scholars who have embodied Catholic teachings during their school years at Corpus Christi will honor Mary by placing a crown of flowers on her head.
Following the May Crowning Mass, the tradition continues. Our wonderful volunteers,
eighth grade scholars and their families are invited to join us in Prefontaine Hall for an appreciation breakfast and a special performance by our Pre K students. Corpus Christi Catholic School is grateful for your contributions!
