Special visitor on Monday, March 16th
A week ago, I was approached by one of our families about bringing a speaker to our school. I quickly said "Yes!" and then the planning began. On Monday, March 16th, Leroy Butler, Green Bay Packer Hall of Famer and creator of the Lambeau Leap, will be visiting us to share his story. The theme is anti-bullying. He has gone from a kid in a wheel chair to the NFL. He was bullied and had to make hard choices as a young man growing up in the projects. It's a great story of staying focused and pushing forward. Here is a link to Mr. Butler's website and his message of Butler vs. Bullying. I hope to have the entire school community decked out in Green and Gold. You are all more than welcome to join us for Mr. Butler's inspiring message which begins at 1:00 in the gym.

Trinity Irish Dancers
This morning, our entire district was able to watch a performance of the Trinity Irish Dancers. Some of the dancers are even Merton students. The audience was appreciative of the athleticism and choreography of all of the dancers. Please see the pictures below to see a sample of their performance.

Student Senate Carnival next Friday!
On Friday, March 20th, the Student Senate will be hosting a carnival to help raise money for the Michael Budisch gymnasium project. The Student Senate has great ideas but we need some families to help us out. The time frame is from 5:00-8:00. If you are able to help out at any time that evening, please contact me. We are also looking for high school students who might be looking for volunteer hours. Thanks for your consideration.

Yearbook orders due next Friday!
I had a chance to see the proof of our yearbook for this year and it looks fantastic. If your child wants a yearbook, the only way to purchase one is to fill out the order form and turn it in with $14. There was no option to order yearbooks online this year. Please return the form and money by next Friday, March 20th.
