Second Field Trip Planned

Fourth Grade students will be going to Mahaffie on May 19th. Please watch for more information to follow. Be aware that this is the same week as Fourth Grade Celebration and Field Day. So, please consider which days you would prefer to volunteer. We will need a lot of volunteers that week!!!! See dates below.

Nelson Atkins Museum of Art Field Trip

On April 23, 4th Grade will be taking a trip to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. Thank you for turning in the permission slips last week. Please remember to send your child with a sack lunch that day, if that is what you signed up for. Also, we suggest they wear tennis shoes and a Creekmoor Shirt (if they have one). We can only select one parent per class to chaperon and ride on the bus with us. However, parents who do not get selected are still welcome to drive separately and meet us at the museum for the day. We will leave the school at 9:00 and return around 1:30. We will be contacting chaperones to ensure they have applied for background check and all paperwork is complete.

4th Grade End of the Year Celebration Volunteers Needed

Please email your child's teacher if you are interested in volunteering for preparation or participation of the 4th Grade Party. It will be on the Wednesday, May 20th from 9-3.

Famous Missourian

A Famous Missourian was assigned to each student on Thursday, March 5, and a parent letter was sent home as well, describing all the details and deadlines for this unit. We hope that by providing this, you will be able to post it on your refrigerator and stay up to date with the weekly expectations. The Famous Missourian Event will be held on April 21st and the kids are so excited!

4th Grade Music Concert

The Fourth Grade students will perform on the evening of Friday, May 8th, in conjunction with the school's book fair. The performance is entitled "Mighty Minds." Please have your students dress in nice clothes and please keep your students with you until they line up at 6:50. Concert begins and 7:00. Due to safety concerns, please do not allow children to climb or play on risers before and after the performance.

Reading Logs/Tic Tac Toe

We wanted to remind everyone that the Reading Logs and Tic Tac Toes are an ongoing expectations. New logs are sent home each Friday in the Take Home Folder.
