A Boost in Security!
We want to give a big thanks to two different organizations facilitating extra security endeavors for our campus. The Brazoria County Constable's office has graciously supplied onsite officers for our campus this school year to foster a greater security presence and peace of mind for all throughout the school year. Additionally, we have a group of volunteers, known as the Eagle Eyes Watch Program, further monitoring the campus alongside our school resource officers and BCS staff. We are grateful for the intentional measures of security presence being provided to our campus from both our local constables and parent volunteers!
No School for students - Oct 13 & 16
Be sure to mark your calendars for a long weekend in October! Embrace a few extra days of leisure and relaxation to catch up on some well deserved rest. We hope you make the most of this precious break to recharge your minds and bodies, and return to school on October 17th, rejuvenated and ready to conquer new challenges.
Elementary Serves Day
Please stop by and visit our Lemonade Stand hosted by our Pre-K and Kinder students that will be taking donations for a local charity organization on October 12th for Elementary Serves Day.
1st through 5th Grades will be off campus volunteering with Harvest for the Hungry. Please have your child wear a BCS shirt for serves day.
If you'd like to volunteer to help for Elementary Serves Day on October 12th, please email lpulido@1bcs.org or lboyett@1bcs.org.

PSAT Testing - Oct 23, 24, & 26
The following students are set to take the PSAT from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Students need to be on time to school and bring their computer to the Assembly Room.
8th Grade - October 23rd
10th & 11th - October 24th
9th Grade - October 26th
Taking the PSAT provides valuable insights, practice, and opportunities that contribute to your child’s future academic success. Students get a good sense of their future SAT scores and where their strengths and weaknesses lie which allow them to target areas they need to practice and improve on for the SAT. BCS provides a tool that gives students access to take SAT practice tests along with other useful information as they ready themselves for college. To access the Capstone SAT practice tool, please visit our website at https://1bcs.org/college-and-career/ for test prep courses, test prep practicing, and college connections. If you have any questions, please contact our secondary office.
