5th Grade Special Edition

Hello Future Toro Family Members,

If you are receiving this email, it means that we have you in our database to attend El Dorado Middle School in the upcoming 2020-21 school year. We are excited to welcome you to our Toro Family and are very eager to meet all of you. As the end of this year has come under very unique circumstances, we can safely assume that the start to the year will be unique as well. We want to reassure and support families and our students during their transition to middle school, especially during these unprecedented times. While we still are not certain what the Fall will bring, we will continue to communicate with you any new information as it becomes available concerning our start in August.

Transitioning to Middle School can already be challenging and add in the extra stress of our current situation and the thought of it can seem daunting. We want to be here to support all of you and your families through this time of change and uncertainty. We will do everything we can to help our students be successful in this difficult time. This includes introducing systems and procedures that make learning at school and/or at home easier, providing them with clear instruction, support, and technology, spending time reviewing and "easing" them back into school, as well as supporting them mentally and emotionally through providing a strong culture of relationships and caring for one another.

We hope that you and your families have been safe and healthy during this SIP time. We are greatly looking forward to meeting you all and ask that you check below and reserve this Wed night, 5/20 at 5:00 to meet some of your Toro Family. Please feel free to reach out to any of us if you have questions at any point.

Be Well,

Chris Clausen, Principal
