Westside Teacher Newsletter
NO SCHOOL MONDAY
Relax, Refresh, and we will see you Tuesday.
Sneak Peeks
Thank you for staying after hours for a parent night! I think it went well for the parents who came. I am going to send home a survey by email with the newsletter on Tuesday so that we can get feedback.
Frameworks
Make sure you remember to print your frameworks and keep together in a binder. We need to document what and when we are teaching. Don't forget to think about the big standard that you want to tackle in PLC's next week.
DIBELS
The window is Sept 6-16
Make sure you are using the google site and NOT an old link from last year.
Lesson Plans
Please make sure you have hung your new weekly lesson plans up by 8:00 on Monday mornings.
HERO cards
Great job giving out HERO cards. I have seen a ton of cards from all kinds of teachers and staff from around the building. Make sure you are keeping up with who got what. They need to earn 3 to receive a bracelet at the end of the 9 weeks. Students have been really excited about them and parents love getting positive communication.
Speaking of positive communication... It is so much easier to get parent to help us when they feel like we LOVE their baby. Please make sure you have made a positive contact and share some great things about their child even when you have to deliver bad news.

So glad that WS is a place where I see the second half of this video. I know I have had moments from the first half. However watching this video made my heart hurt for those kids. Lets all make sure that we make the most out of every opportunity and that we are a bright spot in our kids day. We may be the only bright spot they have.
