The Three Major Religions in Europe
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
Disagreements
There are many religions in Europe, but only three major ones (Judaism, Christianity, Islam). They each have different, individual beliefs. However, some of these beliefs can cause disagreements, sometimes peaceful but sometimes not, and some countries choose not to accept some religions.
Jusaism
Judaism is a religion founded by Abraham in about 2000 BC. There are about 15 million Jews who follow the religious book, the Torah. The Torah is believed to have been given to Moses and the Jews by God.
Christianity
Christianity is a religion founded by Jesus Christ in about 30 AD. There are about 2.1 billion Christians who read the Holy Bible. The Bible is believed to be the first five books of Moses.
Islam
Islam was founded by Mohammed in about 610 AD. There are about 1.3 billion Muslims who read the religious book, the Koran. Muslims believe that Mohammed was the last of the prophets (Jesus and Abraham were other prophets).
