Greeting Parents
Welcome to week nine! Here are a few reminders to help keep you aware of what is happening in your child's classes:
1- Class Reminders
- Please send in glue sticks. We use them often and students are beginning to run out.
- Vocabulary is a big part of ELA, please make sure that you have a dictionary and a thesaurus for students to use at home.
- Check your child's Edmodo everyday.
2- Important dates
Please note that students will not have school on October 9th (Teacher Work Day) and October 12th (Columbus Day). Please check the school calendar for otherimportant dates: http://leadershippreparatoryacademy.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/school-calendar-2015-2016.pdf
3- Volunteer Hours
We host a Class Dojo party every Friday for students that have earned at least an 80% average for their behavior throughout the week. We would like part of the reward to include an edible treat whenever possible. Sending in healthy snacks/treats and drink boxes are always a great way to earn some of your volunteer hours! In addition, we are always happy to accept ink cartridges for our shared HP-Laserjet printer. Lastly, please note that every 20 Box Top points you send in earns you one volunteer hour!
4-Edmodo
Please be sure to check your child's Edmodo daily for important information concerning classwork and homework. Please email your child's teacher if you are still not connected
5-Uniforms
