October!
Principal Newsletter #6: 2021- 2022 School Year
Dear Families,
We hit the ground running this month!
- Students are abuzz with the upcoming student council elections taking place Friday and Tuesday. We can't wait for our student leadership team to get started.
- Madam Caldwell has returned to Bel Aire and brings art with her. Everyone is thrilled to have her back!
- Several Bel Aire lunchtime clubs begin next week--Lego Club, Chess Club, and Poetry/Creative Writing Club. Students should check the BA TV show for details.
- Fall Family Festival and the BA Book Fair are next week
- MOSAIC SEL Student Presentations on Friday 10/8
- Staff Development Day on Monday 10/11
- Teachers have participated in two professional development sessions--Momentum Education (writing) and using assessment data to support students.
Reminder to please send your child to school with a reusable water bottle. They are very thirsty come lunchtime!
Lastly, Bel Aire students kept calm and followed our practiced emergency procedures today when the fire alarm when on the fritz. They did a great job--I'm very proud of them!
Sincerely,
Principal John DiCosmo
