Notes from Jacque
Monday starts our last week together for 2018-2019. I want to thank all of you for your precious children and the opportunity to serve as your principal. How many people can say their start their day with 475 hugs from the most adorable children?! I wish our 4th graders success as they move on to intermediate. It's another milestone! They are well prepared! We also will welcome our precious new Kinder students. It's amazing how little they all look when they arrive. We are eager to celebrate all of our students next week.
Starting Monday, we have activities going on each day!
Monday is Mayfest - our version of field day. We start the day by greeting previous Florence Falcons who are graduating from High School this year. They will be wearing their cap and gowns. Graduates will sign in at the front desk and then join us in the library. Teachers will be available to visit with them until 7:55. The students line the hallways for a 'clap-out' at 8:10. After the clap-out, we will head out to the basketball courts for our Maypole Dance. Please join us if you can. There will be a check in center as you enter the gates. Please have your ID with you.
Below is the schedule of activities for Mayfest. I hope you all pre-ordered lunch through your teacher to ensure we have plenty. The price for the hamburger lunch is $3.75 for adults and $2.90 for children. Hopefully it will be a beautiful day; however in the event of rain, Sudexo will convert the cafeteria into a Luau. We are looking forward to another fun day at Florence!
Please see the calendar events for your student's recognition ceremony. We will have staff in the lobby checking parents in. Please have your ID available.
The ROCK (Reaching Out the Character and Kindness) Summit is for anywhere who would like to attend- staff, parents and community members. See the information below if you are interested!
Friendly reminder to pay lunch balances. At this we have almost $200 in unpaid charges. Thank you!
Hugs!
