Weather Alert Regarding Very Cold Temperatures
2021 North Star State Hardwood Showcase Champs!
Three of the CHHS athletes made the all-tournament team: Terrence Brown, Muja Burton and Donnavin Hinsz.
The CHHS Boys Basketball team is now 6-0 overall this season and their next home game is Tuesday, January 11 at 7:00 p.m. vs. DeLaSalle!
Important Dates | January 2022
January 17: No School. Mini Adventures Open. Adventure Club Closed for staff in-service.
January 27: No School (Grading Day). Mini Adventures and Adventure Club are open.
January 28: No School (In-Service Day). Mini Adventures and Adventure Club are open.
Calendar Clarification | Jan. 18
Tuesday, January 18 is a regular school day with students and staff on site.

Hylander Family Nights
You are invited to Hylander Family Nights: Come check out the Winter Sports that CHHS has to offer. Free admission for students from Early Childhood Programs, Highland, North Park, Valley View, Columbia Academy and their families to the following events:

Boys Swim- Tuesday, January 18 @ 5:30 pm – Enter Door 47 for the HS Pool

BD Veritor Rapid At-Home Test for Students & Staff
More information will be provided when the BD Veritor Rapid Test is provided to the student or staff.
Give Kids a Smile Event | Feb. 4-5
The annual Give Kids a Smile event is occurring Feb 4 & 5 at participating dental clinics.
It provides free dental care for kids 3-18.

The event takes place on the first Friday and Saturday of February and is made possible by the collaborative effort of the Minnesota Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Foundation, volunteer dentists, and our generous sponsors. Help Out and Substitute at CHPS Through Teachers on Call
Teachers on Call is hiring for the following positions…

The Columbia Heights Public Schools have partnered with Teachers On Call to provide substitutes teacher and educational assistant. Apply Here to complete an online application for employment. Please contact Teachers On Call directly at 1-800-713-4439 with questions and for more information.
To qualify for a Substitute Teacher position, you must have a valid Minnesota teaching license in any content area OR a valid Minnesota short call substitute license. You must hold a minimum of a BA/BS college degree in order to obtain a Minnesota short call sub license.
To qualify for our other substitute positions, you must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Activities Update
Additional Activity Bus: A 2nd Activity Bus has been added for students, this bus will leave CA @ 4:30 pm and CHHS @ 4:30 pm on a daily basis.
Activities Punch Card: We are selling Activities Punch Cards at our winter events. A punch card will get you into 10 ticketed events at CHHS (Games, One Act, Musical, etc) for a discounted price. Punch cards cost $20 for students and $40 for adults – saving you $20 over 10 events!

Home Game COVID Updates:
- We will not have Concessions available
- We will be limiting attendance for all home games in the Hylander Center Gym – this is our 9th grade and C Squad Games. No students allowed. Each player can have 2 guests in attendance.
