MCSD School Nurse Updates
A message of health and wellness just for YOU!
Your School Nurses Want to Say Hello! We miss you ALL!
Accessing your school nurses during the Covid-19 school closure
Dear Parents and Learners,
We understand the difficulties you may be facing with the school closures due to COVID-19. Please know we are here to support you! Our K-12 school nurses are available to be contacted through their district email. A district representative will get back to you within the next scheduled school day.
Your school nurses encourage you to work closely with your child's healthcare provider if your child develops symptoms that correlate with the coronavirus. We want all of our Barons to be healthy! You will find some helpful links included in this newletter, on the Schoology page nurse's resources, and on the Covid-19 page on Manheim Central's website.
Some other reasons why you might want to contact your school nurse would be to update your school nurse on your learner's current plan of care, injury recovery, or medication regimen. Additionally, your school nurses can update your child's records when receiving updated medical forms electronically. This information will be helpful in planning for your learner's eventual return to school. Please reach out to your school nurse with any questions.
We want our Baron parents and learners to know that we are here for you during this unprecedented time. Please check back on this page weekly for new updates.
Sincerely,
The MCSD School Health Services Team (Your School Nurses!)

So...you want to learn more
It can be scary to hear about a disease outbreak, but learning the facts can help ease your mind. A new coronavirus—a type of virus named for its crown-like shape—emerged in Wuhan, China in 2019, and then spread to people around the world. While the most severe cases often dominate the headlines, they’re not the whole story. Most coronavirus cases have been mild, and healthy bodies can fight off the infection on their own. Find out more about how viruses work, and the best ways to prevent them from infecting more people. Viruses can’t spread without our help, so click PLAY to learn how not to help them!
