Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year
FAFSA/Financial Aid Information Night for Seniors & Families
The GHS Counseling Department is hosting a financial aid information meeting on September 16, 6 pm, in the GHS Auditorium. A financial aid representative from an area college will be explaining the process of applying for federal financial aid. Come learn the details of this important process with the opportunity to ask questions afterward. Both students and parents are encouraged to attend!
Colleges Visiting GHS
Many colleges will be visiting GHS and/or hosting regional informational meetings for interested students. Students are asked to sign up in the College Admission Visits binder ahead of time located in the Counseling Office. Updated college visit information can be found in Naviance Student.

There is a $17 testing fee which is due to the GHS Counseling Office by September 17. Please contact Mrs. Isbell if you have any questions.
ACT/SAT
Academic and Career Planning (ACP)
Seniors will be meeting with counselors in September-October to discuss college/career plans for next year.
Juniors will meet with counselors for Individual ACP Junior Conferences during second quarter. Parents are invited to attend the ACP meetings.
Freshmen will meet with counselors for Individual ACP Conferences during the spring. Parents are invited to attend the ACP meetings.
Students and parents are always welcome to meet with the school counselors beyond the scheduled meetings listed above. Please contact Mrs. Rieck to schedule an appointment.
REDgen
REDgen stands for resiliency(R), education(E), and determined(D) to make a difference in the health of a new generation (gen). This organization was founded by parents, educators and community leaders who are "dedicated to advocating for the mental health and well being of all youth."
