After two weeks off, reading homework journals will be due again this week on the student's normal day.

Writing/Language Arts
Students worked so hard last week on their Middle of the Year Writing DPM's. They have been working very hard this year on essay writing.
This week we being a new unit in Writing: Prompt Based Personal Narrative

This week we continue our unit on the American Revolution. Students may bring in devices to work on research again on Monday, December 7th.

Spelling/Word Work
This week we begin our normal two week spelling cycle. Students will be given words and they will sort their words in class according to the pattern for the week. They will also write spelling sentences. Our test will be next Thursday, December 17th instead of Friday due to the Holiday Party. Students are encouraged to cut and sort their words at home for extra practice. I will have the words up on my website by the end of the day on Monday.
Classroom News/Upcoming Events
There are only two weeks left until Christmas Break. Mrs. Ferrell and I are trying to keep the students engaged and motivated for the last few weeks. We have many fun Holiday incentives in our classroom happening! Please encourage your child to stay focused during these last few weeks.
