- Karen AJ jumped in on Tuesday to support a substitute in kindergarten. Jessica observed this and was so appreciative of Karen's willingness to give of her time to assist all the kids.

- Donuts with Dudes 7-7:30am. There will be no morning announcements and students will be dismissed to the classrooms. Parking will be full, so take that into consideration when arriving to school in the morning.

ROE Inspection
1. NO extension cords should be in the classrooms.
2. NO plug in air fresheners can be used.
Student Led Conferences
- You will have time next week to prepare for conferences. We will being our PLC in 2B to go over any questions and expectations and then break out to continue planning as grade levels.
- Conference sign up information was sent out and LIsa can provide you a list of your conference sign ups. Classroom teachers should make attempts to reach out to any families that have not yet scheduled a conference. Please do not rely on Lisa to do this for you.
- PARCC reports should go home with report cards for 4th and 5th grade students. I will provide these for you.
- Tier II and Tier III progress monitoring and IEP reports should be provided with reports if applicable.
- Conferences are a time to build relationships with families. If it important that conferences are a positive experience for both parents and students. All students should participate in their conference to showcase their learning and progress toward goals.
- If there are specific conferences you need me to attend, please let me know ASAP.
CSCI Survey
The School Climate Survey will soon be open and ready for staff, students and parents to take. it is a vital source of data that is reviewed by the ILT to set direction for school improvements. Some information:
- 3-5th grade students are able to take the survey on their Chromebooks beginning October 15th. An app will be pushed out to the Chromebooks for students. Please take time to have ALL students take the survey some time next week. I encourage you to read each question with your students to ensure their understanding of the questions and how to rate them. I have included directions for students below.
- All teachers and staff will take the survey during PLC time on Wednesday, October 24th. Please come to the computer lab at 2:25pm. Once you are done with the survey, you may return to your classrooms for grade-level PLC time. If you are not at DGS for PLCs, you are welcome to stay after a shift to complete the survey. This includes custodians, aides, playground supervisors, and office staff.

If you are a tenured staff member that is not getting evaluated, you should complete the PGP portion in iObservation and schedule a meeting with me to discuss your professional goals for the year. The timeline for those is also included below. As always, please let me know if you have questions!

I am also happy to complete a positive office referral and Good News Call of the Day for staff. If there is something amazing you see and want to celebrate with a staff member, let me know! Earlier this week, I called Lisa's parents to tell them how amazing she is and what impact she has on our building.
