District 1 Boys XC Champs!!
DiLE Digital Learning Environment - 1 to 1 Thoughtful Implementation

- Parent Meeting - The last parent meeting is scheduled for this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Pottsgrove Middle School. So far, over 400 parents have attended these informational sessions.
- Tech Forms - All the DiLE (1 to 1) parent forms need to be turned into the Main Office of the High School. All students MUST have their parental consent forms returned to receive a laptop.
- Laptop Distribution - The schedule below will be used for distribution
Tuesday, December 16 - Juniors
Wednesday, December 17 - Sophomores
Thursday, December 18 - Freshmen
Friday, December 19 - Make Up Day for absent students
- Class Meetings - These class meetings will be used to inform students of the latest information on the 1-1 thoughtful implementation
9th grade - Thursday, November 6, 2014 during Period 1
10th grade - Thursday, November 6, 2014 during Period 6
11th grade - Friday, November 7, 2014 during Period 2
12th grade - Friday, November 7, 2014 during Period 3
- Class Talk Sessions - These more intimate sessions will be scheduled into the SS classes during the month of November. This will allow the Tech & Principal Team talk to students in smaller groups. Dr. Ziegler will work with Mr. Wagman and Mr. Bannister to schedule these into the SS classes.
- Carrying Case - There is a picture below of the recommended carrying case for the laptops. Students may view the sample cases in the library.

Keystone Exams
Keystone Exams begin in December

Keystone Participation: All students who took a Keystone exam but did not earn proficiency will take the Keystone exam during the dates below.

Biology: December 3 and 4 (Wednesday & Thursday)
Literature: December 9 and 11 (Tuesday & Thursday)
Algebra: January 8 and 13 (Thursday and Tuesday) - 2 Hour Delay
Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center
Community Dinner Buffet - The Western Center dining room is open Monday, November 3, 2014 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. This is open to the public as students use this as a fundraiser.
Open House - The Western Center Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 5:00-8:30 p.m.
Dining Room Open - The Dining Room is open every Wednesday - Friday for lunch from 11:30-1:00 p.m. Grab some lunch and support our students in the beautiful dining room.

College Visits for Students
Penn State Visit - Last month, our counselors took over 40 students to Penn State Main Campus to learn more about the courses, campus, and opportunities for students. Shown right, are PGHS students enjoying some time at the Penn State Creamery during their break from the tour.
Widener and West Chester University Tour - Friday, November 21, 2014 - Be sure to sign up in the School counseling office. The cost is $10.00 per student.
Our counselors have several other college visits planned. If your child is interested, please have them check with their counselor or on Family Connection.
Renovations
- 400 Wing - The 400 wing is soon ready for occupancy. These rooms will be for art and engineering.
- Music Wing - Starting on November 17, 2014, the music wing will be closed down so renovation can begin in this area. The band will be in the auditorium.
- Gym/Cafeteria - The steel has been raised on the gym as you can see in the background of this newsletter. The footers will be poured shortly for the cafeteria as they are currently clearing this area for footer work.
