Caldwell Update
April 2022
A Message from Ms. Massey
Welcome April! Spring is here and we are just excited to enjoy warmer temperatures in addition to hopefully some drier days. During this season, our students are demonstrating deeper knowledge and understanding of concepts they have been learning throughout the school year. Teachers are very proud of the progress that their students are making and are looking forward to their students' academic performance on the End of Year Assessments (EOY). This month, our K-5th grade students will be taking MAP reading in English and Spanish (Dual language). K-5th grade students will also be taking MAP math, 5th grade students will be taking MAP science, and our K-2nd grade students will be taking m-Class. Afterwards, we will analyze students’ projected growth and will make adjustments to our instruction for the remainder of the school year.
Our teachers and staff are loving the new makeover of our lounge. It looks AMAZING! One more time our PTO has expressed their appreciation and love for our teachers and staff. We cannot express how grateful we are for such an act of kindness.
Thank you in advance for your support during this month. We are ready for our CATS to shine!
Have a great month.

Counselor's Corner
April 25th-Career Day for 4th and 5th grade students
This month our character trait is Responsibility, which is understanding how our choices affect others, ourselves, and the world.
Here are some conversation starters you can have with your child at home:
You really want a new game, but you need a new pair of shoes. How do you decide between wants and needs so that you can spend your money responsibly? Talk about wants and needs in your life and how you’ve learned to tell the difference!
What are the responsibilities you have at home? How do people know what they are responsible for? Which responsibilities are you really good at?
