Help your child!

Our instructional day BEGINS at 7:40 A.M., and we have a steady flow of Rangers arrive between 7:45 - 7:50. When your child arrives during this time, they are already behind for the day because the other students have had time to unpack, make lunch choices, visit with their friends, and get settled down to begin learning. When a child walks into class feeling like everyone is ahead of them for the day, it is not a good feeling. Please make every effort to get your child to school and in the building by 7:40 A.M.

If your child arrives after 7:40 A.M., please do not just drop them off in the unloading area unless there is still an adult outside. When you drop your child off and have them walk into the office alone, they are not under supervision of an adult - even if you watch them from the car. For the safety of your child, you are asked to walk your child in after 7:40 A.M.

Thank you, families, who ensure your child(ren) to school by 7:40 A.M.

We appreciate your help and support with this!

EB Principle: Fuel Your Ride with Positive Energy!

As we continue to focus on ways to Fuel Your Ride with Positive Energy, one way to model this principle is by being proud of who you are and what you’ve accomplished. Remember, at the Creek, we celebrate each other, but we should also make time to celebrate ourselves. If you’re feeling down, pause and think about something you like about yourself! If you’ve reached a goal, don’t forget to pat yourself on the back! That way, you can make sure to keep your tank full of Positive Energy!

Reminder for Cold and Flu Season

Sick children do not perform well in class and can expose their classmates to a virus or other illness. If your child complains that he/she does not feel well, please check his/her temperature before sending him/her to school. If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or more before you give him/her Tylenol, Advil, Motrin or some other appropriate fever-reducing medication, keep your child at home.

Your child should not return to school until he/she has been fever-free without the help of Tylenol or another product for 24 hours. When your child does come back to school, he/she should go by the nurse’s office and have his/her temperature checked before going to his/her classroom.

Lost and Found

Items are beginning to accumulate at the RCE Lost and Found. Please make sure your student checks the Lost and Found for any items that may belong to them. The Lost and Found is located at the end of the 400 Hall.

5th Grade Ranger Robics

During the month of March, our 5th grade Rangers can participate in Ranger Robics. Ranger Robics sessions will be held in the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning at 7:00 a.m.

RCE Needs M.E.N at Work

M.E.N. at Work, standing for Meeting Each Need, is a community-involvement program, unique to RCE, which will encourage and promote volunteerism among fathers, grandfathers and other male community members. Through this program, we aim to better support and meet the needs of our students, as well as better identify and utilize resources and members within our community.

This program will kick off the morning of Tuesday, December 19th, with M.E.N at Work volunteers helping to open car doors! You will recognize these volunteers by their bright orange vests. After the holiday break, this will continue on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, and will likely expand to other volunteer opportunities.

Interested in joining M.E.N. at Work? Reach out to our school counselors via phone or email!

Lunch Money!

Make sure to resolve any negative account balances before the end of the year.

Per district policy, student accounts may only have $10.00 owed to them. Once student accounts have over $10.00 owed, children will receive lunch choice D which is a sandwich, fruit, and drink. Please make every effort to pay on your child's lunch account or send lunch to school with your child.

Car Line Safety Reminder

As we return to our school routines, we must remember to keep our Rangers safe during morning drop off and afternoon pickup. For the safety of our children, please...

  • refrain from texting or talking on phones in moving car lines.
  • do not drop off children in parking lots.
  • make sure to walk children all the way across the crosswalk.

Please share this with the person who brings or picks-up your child from school.

Supervision begins at 7:00 A.M. for students.

Please note that adults are not available to supervise children before 7:00 a.m. each morning. Please do not let your child out of the car and pull away from the school prior to 7:00 A.M. Thank you!

Bus Loop Drop-Off

In an effort to help with morning traffic flow, we allow students to be dropped off in the bus loop area. If you use this drop-off lane, please be aware of the following:

It is unlawful to pass a school bus in a loading/unloading zone.

This area is supervised between 7:00 A.M. - 7:40 A.M. For safety reasons, the bus loop doors are only unlocked during this time period. If you drop your child off before 7:00 or after 7:40, it is possible you will have left your child locked out of the school.

Need to change your child's transportation - phone call or handwritten notes accepted.

Please make sure you communicate any transportation changes through a handwritten note or phone call to the front office at 821-4200. Do not communicate transportation changes via an email to the teacher. Your email may not be read before dismissal.
