Worthy of Mention
- Hats off to Public Works. We get lots of advice during & after every snow, so want to share how we allocate our resources. While it is snowing, attention is given to keeping main streets clear. As soon as precipitation slows, we start pre-determined routes where collectors are cleared next & neighborhood streets last. For a 3-4" snow it takes 15-18 hours to clear streets. Every snow is different - snow, ice, rain, & the order those occur defines how we use salt/sand. After all roads are open & safe to travel, we turn our focus on getting ready for the next snow which includes equipment repairs, the prep takes about a week.
- The antidote we needed for an ongoing pandemic is the sharing of appreciations from your co-workers. The Awards given by the Community Center are dubbed the Ripple Effect, issued to employees for making a difference.
- Brandon Carty joins the Community Development Staff this week as Code Enforcement Officer.

Choose Your Attitude!
"Officer Champion has helped my family & I am so very thankful he is the officer he is. All the officers were caring gentlemen. These officers are the reason I still believe in the police department. Not all police are bad or scary. Most are fathers and mothers and citizens of the community they serve & they have big hearts. Thank you ESPD." (POSTED 11/12/20) January 9, 2021 was National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, when you see an officer, wave to them and say ‘Thank you."
