Back to School Edition
From the Principal
We are so excited to welcome our Yellowjackets back to school in a few weeks! I am looking forward to a fabulous school year!
Meet the Teacher and Yellowjacket Express will be in person this school year. We hope to see all of our families at this event! Your child's teacher will send you an email no later than noon on Wednesday, August 17th. The email will introduce you to your child's homeroom teacher and will have important information about the beginning of the school year. Please look over this information even if you are not able to attend Meet the Teacher.
Best regards,
Laura Midkiff, Principal
Staff Development Day Snacks
Teachers and Staff will be returning Monday, August 8 for 2 weeks of Professional Development Days. We are asking for snack donations to help and show appreciation during this busy time of year.

Important First Day of School Information
For the safety of all of our students, we do not allow parents to walk students to class including on the first day of school. Our staff members are focused on welcoming our students back to school so we cannot schedule parent conferences or opportunities for parents to meet the teacher. We will have stations outside of the school to drop off school supplies, check transportation, lookup a homeroom assignment, etc. for families who were not able to attend Yellowjacket Express. Parents are highly encouraged to take care of all back-to-school business at Meet the Teacher and Yellowjacket Express. If you must visit Yeager on the first day of school, please anticipate long lines and understand that we do not make exceptions regarding walking students to class or meeting the teacher.
We will have staff members and volunteers assisting students to their classrooms, etc.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Lunch Visitors
We do not have lunch visitors at the beginning of the year so that students can learn routines and procedures. We are not able to accept lunch drop-offs of fast food, etc. Parents may drop off forgotten lunch kits if necessary.
All students at Yeager are able to receive free breakfast and lunch.
New Home address?
Continued Enrollment Procedures
Apartment and Residential Leases- Current leases must be kept on file for each student for continued enrollment. If your lease or hotel receipt has or will expire before the start of the 2022-2023 school year, a current lease will need to be provided to the registrar in order to continue to be enrolled and scheduled into a classroom. You may email a copy of the current lease along with a current light, gas or water bill to yeager@cfisd.net. Please make sure to include your child's name and grade level.
Students on a Verification of Address Affidavit that have not completed the second required step of providing 3 documents with the correct address and their name as proof of residence will need to complete step 2. The affidavit is to establish residency for a student who is living with a parent/guardian in a residence that they are not owning/renting.
Failure to have current, up to date residential documents will result your child not receiving a homeroom assignment and/or starting school on the first day of the 2022-2023 school year.
Paperwork may be sent to yeager@cfisd.net or for questions about your residence paperwork, you may call 281)440-4914.
