Fun Fair Pool Basket Items Needed

Our class in charge of putting together a "pool themed" basket to raffle off during Meadow Lane's Fun Fair in April. Some item ideas include: beach towels, pool toys, pool snacks, Sonic gift cards (for slushies or shakes after a day in the sun), ....anything you can think of that would fit into our Pool Party basket. Thank you so much to those who have already sent in their donations!

New York Museum of Modern Art Comes to Our Classroom!

I am taking a class (on-line) sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City entitled: Art and Inquiry: Museum Teaching Strategies for Your Classroom. I am only in week one of this class but have already learned so many amazing ideas to use in the classroom! Hopefully, you will be hearing about them soon!

Math-The snow day put us off track a bit. We will be taking the Topic 11 test on Monday, along with the Topic 12 pretest. On Tuesday and Wednesday we will be taking our district benchmark math test. This test covers everything we have learned so far in second grade. I will send the results home in report cards.
