Dear Parents / Carers,
It has been another busy week in school and the children are working hard to make good progress in their learning. There has been some great geography learning around school with the Early Years learning about Africa, Year 1 about China and the older children learning about rivers and mountains. I have been impressed by the children's knowledge and their interest in what they are learning.
This week we were awarded a certificate as our attendance figures are in the top 10% of primary schools nationally. This is great to see so keep up the good work!
Just a couple of notices this week:
- We still have some children coming to school without a coat. Please remember to check your child has outdoor clothing to match the weather conditions for the time of year.
- Please help us to look after our reading books and keep them in good condition. We have had to replace several of our new books recently as they have been damaged beyond repair at home. Your child should bring their reading book into school every day so please check they are in book bags before leaving home.
Finally, a reminder that Year 3 Milligan will be leading assembly at 9:05am on Friday 27th January. Parents of Year 3 pupils are welcome to attend.
Have a lovely week,
Karen Williams
