Principal's Message
Dear Students and Families,
This week coming up will close out our first month of virtual instruction! In general I believe things are going well with a few hiccups that we are working through. Thank you for your patience and flexibility!
Overall students are doing very well with this, but a few need some reminders. Please review these Zoom etiquette reminders.
- Students remember at some point you will inevitably have your camera on during your zoom. You should have proper attire on and be aware of your surroundings.
- The mute button is your friend. Unless you are speaking to your teacher or classmates in a zoom discussion, you need to be muted.
- It is not ok to take pictures or screen shots on zoom. Just like in real life, you should always have permission from anyone you are taking a picture or video of.
- Remember in Kindergarten when we learned, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" the same applies for zoom chats. If the chat setting is to everyone, everyone can read it and it's recorded.
- DO NOT share teacher's zoom links with anyone!
Failure to follow zoom etiquette rules could result in disciplinary consequences.
Mid term grades will be captured on October 9, 2020, which is just a couple of weeks away. Make sure your child checks their grades frequently in power school. If students are struggling with any assignments remember they can email their teacher and request help!
As always if you have any questions or concerns please call or email teachers, counselors, or administration.
Have a great weekend!
-Dr. VonDenBosch
WEDNESDAY ASSIGNMENTS
All Students- Wednesday Work
Students have assignments to complete every Wednesday for Asynchronous Instruction. They have until the following Monday at 1:15pm to complete the assignments to be considered "present" for attendance purposes. All Wednesday work must be turned in by that due date. Students can zoom with teachers Wednesday afternoon if they need help. Teachers are also available the rest of the week from 1:30-2:30 during Flex Time to help students, they are just an email away!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT-A Message from your Advisors!
Week of September 28 Senior Spotlight
Greetings from the Class of 2021!
What a strange year this is! We hope your senior year is off to a good, though different, beginning! We are all making history right now, and Mr. Sousa and Mrs. France encourage all seniors to continue to make memories throughout this year!!! You only get one senior year, so make the most of it! Having said that, please know that plans for ANYTHING this year are subject to change. We need to be realistic and flexible with our expectations and thoughts about this year. We will do our best to preserve CRHS traditions, but also try to think outside the box if needed in order to accomplish what we need to.
CAP AND GOWN ORDERS
Cap and gown ”Kick Off Week” is October 19 - 23. Our goal is to have all cap and gown orders in to Jostens by December 22. After the first of the year, prices increase. We will have more information to share in the coming weeks.
GRADUATION
Friday June 4
All else is “to be determined” at this time.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of the advisors (sousa.michael@ccpsstaff.org and france.bernadette@ccpsstaff.org). We may not have all the answers right now, but we will work hard to make this a successful senior year for all!!!
CCPS Equity Initiatives Committee
Hi everyone,
The CCPS Equity Initiatives Committee is inviting community input into the ongoing work of the strategic plan goal of equity. A virtual community meeting for adults and students is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
Community members are invited to register for the event. (Please note that a device camera is required for participation.) Once registered, a Zoom link will be sent to the registrant via email.
“Through our equity initiative, students, staff, families and community stakeholders have begun the work of examining our policies, practices, and beliefs,” stated Supervisor of Alternative Programs Nicole Fisher. “We are committed to using the lens of equity in evaluating all our decisions and actions, and look forward to widening our circle of community input.”
For more information about the event, please email Mrs. Fisher at fisher.nicole@ccpsstaff.org or call 410-479-0100.
