Glows and Grows

Glows: Thank you to the staff who consistently use the instructional specialists in our district to support your instruction. It isn't easy for some to invite another teacher in to work with you and so being willing to do that with an eye towards improvement and growth is admirable and appreciated. The positive impact of that work rests in what I see when I walk into the classroom. What I love most about our staff is the ability to see the larger vision and to seek support in implementing that vision to the granular level.

Grow: Have you used the instructional specialists? If not, what support do you need to utilize the support? If yes and but not consistently, what are the barriers to use?

Multicultural Night Visits

I am going to try to visit each class next week to just mention Multicultural Night and to give some of the students ideas. I appreciate your flexibility with my visits. If I see you knee deep in a lesson, I will return. I will not be in classrooms for more than 5 minutes but I just wanted to spread the word and to get them excited.

Reminder--PE Equipment

Just a reminder that we are collecting recess equipment from students and will centralize use in two buckets that will be out for each recess. The hope is to minimize the territorial nature of classroom recess equipment.
