Return to School Survey Message from the Bellflower Unified School District
As shared last week, Governor Newsom released his Safe Schools For All Plan. The plan states that schools may not reopen for in-person instruction until the adjusted case rate (CR) has been less than 25 per 100,000 population for 5 consecutive days. As of last week, LA County is at 48.2 per 100,000.
The Reopening Framework addresses a phased opening focusing on K-2 and specialized groups, and later expanding to K-6. The Governor’s plan does not have legislative approval as of today. For additional information regarding the plan, please see California Department of Public Health and County of Los Angeles Public Health.
In order to assist us in planning more effectively, we need your help. We ask that you complete the following Return to School Survey. Click here to take the survey in English. Click here to view the survey in Spanish. The survey will help us better understand the needs of our community in the event we can return to school in the coming weeks. Although the current guidance is for TK-6, we are asking that parents of students in middle and high school also give us your information on a return to school. Please complete the survey by February 3, 2021.
While completing the survey, please answer with the following framework in mind. BUSD will only reopen schools when it is deemed safe by State and Local authorities. BUSD will comply with all safety requirements and reopen with the support of our teachers and staff.
We will continue to keep you updated with information as it becomes available.
