IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
New Cell Phone Policy
At the beginning of Semester 2 (effective January 28, 2020), students will not be allowed to use their cell phones during nutrition and lunch in alignment with all other middle schools within our district. Cell phone use in the classroom will continue to be permitted with teacher granted permission for educational purposes.
Administrators and counselors will be presenting information to students prior to the end of semester 1 as we transition to this new site policy. Navigator News in the next weeks will have tips for parents in communicating with their child as needed. Cell phones are allowed on campus but must be powered off or silenced during the instructional day (9 a.m.-3:13 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-1:35 p.m. on Fridays).
DATA will continue to support the use of student issued technology (Chromebook) during nutrition and lunch in approved designated areas.
Bike Program
The Bike Ventura Program is an active, non-profit, grassroots organization. Their mission is to foster a safe, healthy community through bicycle-centered education, empowerment, and advocacy in Ventura County.

On the last day (1/17/2020) of the program, students will participate in a neighborhood bike tour. Permission slips will be required for their participation and provided to them on their 1st day of instruction.
