Congratulations to all the MCES runners who participated in the Boosterthon Fun Run! Look for upcoming information regarding how much money was raised and the unveiling of plans to update the K-2 Playground. This is the PTA's current long term project and proceeds from the Boosterthon Fun Run will go directly to it.
The next General PTA meeting will be on May 19th at 7pm. Make plans to attend. It will be Volunteer Appreciation Night and Election Night for the 2015-2016 school year Board of Directors. We will take a tour of the Giving Garden and a Master Gardener will be on hand to answer your gardening questions. There will also be door prizes.

The front office is in need of clothes to give out to students when there is an accident at school and parents are not able to come in and bring clean clothes. Donations of the following items for both boys and girls would be appreciated and can be dropped off at the front office:
Flip Flops- boys and girls all sizes
Underwear- sizes S, M, L
Elastic Band pants and shorts- S, M, L
T-Shirts- S, M, L

Help Welcome MCES 2015-2016 Kindergarten Students to our school
Collection deadlines for pledges:
- May 5 for Tracks 1, 2, and 3
- May 15 for Track 4
Please send pledges in the envelopes sent home this past Friday. There will be a table in the front hall all week where students can turn in their envelopes:). This is the most important part of our fundraiser! The more pledges that are turned in, the more MCES and our students will benefit. Thank you again for supporting your students as well as the teachers and staff at MCES!

Teacher Appreciation Week:
Teacher Appreciation week for Tracks 1 and 2 will be May 4-8. Flyers went home to Tracks 1 and 2 last week with ideas on how to show your appreciation. Teacher Appreciation for Tracks 3 and 4 will be May 18-22.

Tulips to you lift your Tuesday - help make a nice bouquet for your child's teacher; send in a flower for them.
Wish List Wednesday - bring in item off teacher wish list, don't forget your specials teachers!

Donations for Kid Raffle will be accepted for one more week. We have not received as many donations as in past years. The kids love to try and take home a basket. Please consider donating this week. Any of the following items are needed: Candy, Chocolate, "Girly" things, "Boy" things, assembly kits, figurines, silly bands, Arts and Crafts, anything with a sports team logo on it.

Do you have home business? Are you an independent Sales Consultant?
This year Carnival will feature a section for small businesses and Independent Sales Consultants to sell their products to the attendees. If you are an independent consultant for a home based company, consider "purchasing" a vendor table at the Carnival to sell your products. Tables will be "sold" for a donation to the silent auction or for a flat fee of $20.00. One consultant per company will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. We already have representatives from Thirty-One, Tupperware. Young Living Essential Oils and Roden + Fields. You must provide your own table, set up, and staffing. If you are interested, email AnnMarie Marchese at firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of your company. Emails will be answered in the order they are received.
