PTA Announcement
Hello Park Village Elementary Families,
Happy New Year! I am excited to announce that the Park Village PTA has two new Executive Officers. Annie Chin-Auyoung is the Treasurer and Maggie Paola is the Secretary. I want to thank them for volunteering their time.
The PTA connects families, schools and communities by providing programs and services at your child’s school. PTA is the nation’s largest volunteer-led child-advocacy association working to drive improvements in the education, health and well-being of all children and families. When you are a member of PTA, you are an advocate for your child and for all children. The PTA has been active at Park Village since 1994.
Through the remainder of this year and next, the PVPTA will focus on these programs and events at our school:
1. Rebuild the membership of Parents and Teachers - Please join here to help with the effort. There are also several leadership positions available.
2. 3rd Annual Science Fair. We are looking for a Title Sponsor if you or your employer is involved in a science or technology based industry. Please contact me if you are interested.
3. Bring back the Reflections Art Program - which has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.
4. Red Ribbon Week - the PTA would like to bring back and sponsor the annual assembly and other activities to promote a drug-free commitment.
Our next General Association Meeting is January 26. If you just want to help or you have interest in Leadership positions with the PVPTA, please join us! There are two more Executive Committee positions and Chairperson positions available for each program and event.
Thanks!
Tim Dougherty, President PVEPTA
