What you need to do
You will need a bachelors degree in some sort of health or physical fitness subject. Then you will need four years in a medical school following a residency and if you want to specialize in a particular field of surgery you will need a fellowship. Then after all of the education requirements you will you will need to pass both National and State testing, also known as boards.

Portland OR has one of the best transit systems and even though it is a big city it has that small town feel. Though OHSU does not provide housing there is plenty of affordable housing right around the school.
