Mountain View High School Announcments
Athletic Eligibility
School comes first!
Picture Make up and Retake Days
For students that had their pictures taken, potrait proofs, potraits and student IDs will be deliviered when we return to school.
If you want to retake your picture, simply return your original purchased package on October 26th (Group A Students) or October 27th (Group B Students).
Yearbook
Senior Picture Information
The MVHS yearbook is forging ahead to create lasting memories for our students and families in this strange school year. We are adjusting dates and still hashing things out, but we wanted to let the community know the date senior pictures will be due: Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
Please book photographers or let them know about this date. More detailed info will follow soon.

This week: JV played University on Monday, October 12th at 4pm, C team plays Thursday, October 15th at 3pm @Northridge and Varsity plays Friday, October 16th @7pm against Northridge.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Like everything else, Parent Teacher Conferences will look a little different this year.
Parent Teacher Conference will be held by phone or google meets by signing up for bookable appointments on:
- Thursday, November 12th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm
- Thursday, December 3rd from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
Your student's teacher will be sharing the calendar link to book appointments. Watch for this in teachers weekly newsletters.
THERE WILL BE NO CONFERENCES ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15TH. THIS DAY IS BEING REPLACED BY THE SEPTEMBER, NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER DATES.
Mountain View High School will be closed on Friday, October 16, 2020.

Walter Scott Jr. College of Engineering
The Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering would like to invite you and your students to connect with us for Engineering Exploration Week: October 19-24, 2020.
This year’s virtual event will include dozens of opportunities to connect with us and includes multiple days of one-on-one sessions with current students and faculty, scavenger hunts, and more.
And since it’s Engineering Exploration Week, prospective students have the opportunity to participate in more than 40 webinars, virtual tours, student panels, and breakout sessions hosted by specific engineering departments and areas of study. The Heisman High School Scholarship program is looking for all types of high-achieving seniors from more than 29,000 public and private high schools within the U.S. We consider young men and women who participate in a wide range of sports as well as school and community activities.
Boettcher Scholoarship Application
The Boettcher Application is now open!!!
This is a full ride scholarship to any college in Colorado!!!

Thanksgiving Turkeys
Is your family in need of a little extra help around the holidays?
Every year the Foodbank can donate up to 200 turkeys to MVHS for families in need. If you are interested in picking up a turkey and have not received a Google Form in your student's email please contact Ms. Dennis at lauren.dennis@thompsonschools.org and a form will be sent to your email.
Request deadline is October 22nd and needs will be met on a first come first serve basis up to 200 turkeys. No income requirements asked. Limit 1 turkey per family. Pickup times have not yet been established, but more info to come soon.
Upcoming Classes at the Loveland Museum
Join us for art classes for kids, teens and adults at our easily socially-distanced BEET Education Center!
Studio Tour- Art Activity Workshops
$3 per person- must register (limited space)
Kids age 6 and older can attend on their own or register with an adult.
Kids age 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Workshops will be instructed by Tracie Jenkins, Jennie Milner or Amanda Gress.

Covid – 19 Information
What you need to know:
For the health and safety of our staff and students, classroom precautions following safety guidelines will be in place regarding COVID-19. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call or email us.
- Students and staff must wear a facial covering or mask at all times.
- COVID-19 screening questionnaire must be filled out at class check in.
- Registration capacity is set at 8 per class.
- In class, we promote healthy hygiene practices.
- Regular disinfection of frequently touched surfaces between uses.
- Promote social distancing with individual work spaces.
- Supplies are individualized or sanitized between uses.
