Attendance Matters/La Atendencia es Importante
Attendance is part of our school accountability measure. If we do not meet our attendance measure then we are in danger of not reaching our distinction goals and our accountability goal. Parents we are relying on you to bring your children to school every day and on-time.
Just a few reminders...
The Texas Education Code 25.092 (Minimum Attendance for Credit) states that the Dallas
Independent School District may not give credit for a class unless the student is in attendance 90 percent of the days a class is offered. A student who falls below the 90 percent requirement will be required to complete the Principal’s Plan to Regain Credit
The Texas Education Code 25.095 requires schools to report truant students to the court system by which parents can be fined up to $500, be required to attend counseling, and/or complete community service.
This includes picking up early.
School starts at 7:45 AM. Students are required to be present and ON TIME daily.
