McDaniel SUN school offers free afterschool tutoring from 3:30-5:30pm.
Drop-in tutoring Monday, Wednesday & Thursday in the Library. Tuesday in room 031.

Black College Expo
Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10am - 4pm @ Renton High School in Washington
Admission is free and students can get accepted to colleges and earn scholarships on the spot with admission fees waived. HBCU's and other colleges will be in attendance. Students should bring a copy of their transcript and SAT scores to the event.
College Possible Junior/Senior Recruitment
Student requirements:
- 2.5 GPA or higher
- Qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch
- Interest in earning Bachelor's Degree

Financial Aid Season
The do-to item for seniors & their families this month is completing their FAFSA/ORSAA. Any senior planning on continuing their education next year (university, community college or trade program) should be completing the necessary forms to get help paying for school.
Counselors & the college/career center supports are ready to help students complete this task.
Need HELP? Plan to attend our help session, Tuesday Oct. 11, 6:00-7:30pm in the Library.
Come prepared with the information in this Worksheet or the 2021 Federal Tax information of the parent/guardian & student.

Adventist Health Care Leaders
Adventist Health Student Healthcare Leaders - Open to 10th-12th grade. Student Healthcare Leaders (SHL) give high school students an introduction to the abundant and diverse career opportunities available in health care. This FREE after-school program uses interactive explorations and panel discussions to help young people explore health care, become enlightened about what it includes and engage with health care professionals.

iUrban Teen & Onto Innovation present a FREE specialty visit
Onto Innovation, in Hillsboro, is a leader in the high-tech semiconductor industry.
Students will have lunch, tour the Onto clean room in a "bunny suit" & participate in 2 hands-on workshops to learn about Onto products and systems.
Advanced registration on Eventbrite is required and spaces are limited.
Military Branches & War Resisters
Representatives from the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and War Resisters League will be here to talk to students interested in learning about their branches.
