2024 STEAM EXPO - EXHIBITORS NEEDED
Do you have experience related to science, technology, engineering, art or math? Are you looking for an opportunity to share your knowledge with Bresnahan students? If so, the STEAM Expo is your chance!
The annual STEAM Expo is a one-day event during which Grades 1-3 students rotate through hands-on STEAM-themed exhibits run by volunteers from across our community including non-profits, high school students, local businesses and more.
The 2024 Bresnahan STEAM Expo will be Thursday May 23, 2024 (8-1:30). Exhibitors will run 4, 12 minute sessions per grade level. If you’d like to exhibit, please fill out this google form. If you have any questions, please contact Jamie Sokolowski (jsokolowski@newburyport.k12.ma.us).
Morning Arrival - Rider Line
We are seeing more families choose to ride to school with this colder weather. If you have been in the rider line lately, you may be experiencing longer wait times due to the increased numbers. Even with the increase, we are still getting kids into the building on time- and I appreciate the staff outside (braving the cold!) and the patience of the parents in the cars as we get our students safely from cars to sidewalk to Door 4.
To make the morning drop off less stressful - we can commit to the following:
If your child is able and comfortable, please have them exit the car further up on the sidewalk and walk along the sidewalk to Door 4. There are staff positioned along the sidewalk to support them *If your child has a specific need or medical need, we understand if you need to wait until Door 4. This will help in keeping our drop off line moving!
If you arrive later than 8:20 and there is not a long line of cars, please park and walk your child to be checked in through Door 1.
If there is a long line at 8:20, our staff outside will notify the front office and we will hold attendance to accommodate the large number of children who still need to enter the building. Please do not drop your child off outside without adults present and if you are the only car out there.
We prioritize safety at the Bresnahan and I believe we can all work together to make our morning go as smoothly as possible. Thank you and please reach out with any questions.
Skills for Life
We had 128 Bresnahan/Molin family members attend Ooch’s first Skill for Life last week! A reminder, there are 3 more free family sessions to go! Hope to see you there & Check out Ooch’s latest video for Bresnahan families!
Reminder About Dogs on Campus (Bresnahan Student Handbook pg. 29)
As much as we love animals, we ask that you leave your pets at home. Some students are afraid of dogs, some people have allergies to animals and not all pet owners are good about cleaning up after their pets. We want our school grounds to be accessible and clean for all students to enjoy. Thank you and please reach out with any questions.
