Venus Fly Trap
The Dionaea muscipula or Venus fly trap is found naturally near the coastal areas of North Carolina and South Carolina. The Venus fly trap is endangered for many reasons one is that is only found in the area around Wilmington N.C. so it is poached for a money. Also when we destroy wetlands we destroy the habitat for bugs causing the Venus fly trap not have food.
How it is Protected
There is a law in the U.S. hat states that it is illegal to collect Venus fly traps from the wild. Also people have started realizing we need to conserve wetlands which are a habitat for bugs which help the Venus fly trap live.
