Campus Announcements
Eagles,
We would like to express our gratitude to our teachers by spoiling them with prizes on the last day before the holiday break. We have put together an Amazon wish list of items that we are seeking, and as always, anything else that you believe would be appreciated by the teachers and staff. All items may be delivered to ACMS. Thank you for considering our request and for always showing our teachers the love they deserve. Go Eagles!
Join us for 12 days of Holiday Spirit Dress up days starting Nov. 30th. Lots of fun as we ring in the holiday!
School Wide Fundraiser
Hi Eagle Families!!
Arbor Creek Middle School's biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up on March 4th - 8th, 2024. Our annual Color Run includes a Silent Auction and Vendor Fair. The auction will commence on March 4th and conclude on the 7th.
We are thrilled to announce that this year's Color Run will be bigger and better.
We know that many members of the Eagle family own businesses or companies that might be interested in supporting us this year. For the first time, we are offering sponsorships for some of the activities at the Color Run. The events requiring sponsorships and their respective costs are listed below:
- DJ: $450
- Sports Zone: $600
- Exotic Animal Petting Zoo: $1500
- Face Painting: $350
- Grand Carnival: $800
- Climbing Wall: $1200
If you don't want to sponsor a particular event, you can still make a sponsorship donation, and we have different levels that we are offering.
We are also accepting donations for our Silent Auction. We are looking for monetary contributions, experiences, items, gift cards for restaurants and stores, hotel stays, sporting tickets, vacation rentals, and fun family experiences. Anything and everything is wonderful!
Finally, we will be holding our Vendor Fair again during the Color Run and are welcoming businesses to promote their products or services. The fee for one table is $50, and for two tables, it is $70.
If you are interested in making a sponsorship donation, donating an item for the Silent Auction, or participating in the Vendor Fair, please feel free to email Mrs. Crouch at ColorRun@acmspta.org or Mrs. Obenhaus at ObenhausA@lisd.net.
We are so excited about these events and appreciate your support!! Please be watching for more information to come in the next few weeks!!
WINGS MENTOR PROGRAM
Eagle Families,
We are excited to announce the return of the WINGS Mentor Program at Arbor Creek. Our goal is to partner our students with some of our outstanding community members who would serve as mentors. Mentors would meet with students at least once a month during the school day for the remainder of the year. An orientation/training will be provided for mentors to learn more about the guidelines of the mentor program. The relationship between mentors and students would serve as a place for mentors to develop trusting and consistent relationships within which they would provide positive feedback and encouragement to help students become the best people they can be. We are looking for community volunteers to be mentors to some of our amazing students. Please check out the flyer below for more information.

LISD Recognize Someone
Our superintendent, Dr. Rapp, is focused on creating a culture that makes LISD stand out as a district where we all thrive. One of our district goals is to retain our incredible staff members that make #ONELisd the amazing district that it is. In an effort to include parents and community members in this effort, the district has an online access point for parents to send in positive notes of encouragement to recognize staff members on all campuses to let them know that they are valued and appreciated. If you would like to recognize an ACMS staff member, you can use the link below to fill out a quick form that will be shared with the employee to let them know they are making a difference in the lives of our students and their families.

Resources for Parents
Absence Portal
Parents should provide a note, documenting the reason for the absence, to the school immediately upon the child’s return, and not later than three days after the absence. If the child was seen by a health care provider, a note from that provider is always preferred. If the student was present PART of the school day and missed the remainder for a health care appointment, a note from that provider should be given to the school within 3 days. In this circumstance, the time away from school is NOT considered an absence.
Check Out Procedure
If you need to check out your child early, please email our attendance clerk, Susan Lee, that morning, if possible. Her email address is LeeSusan@lisd.net
When you arrive at the school, you will need to ring the doorbell and show your driver's license to gain entry to the building. Once you are inside It will take a few minutes for us to send for your child, so please plan accordingly if you are headed to an appointment. We will not call students out of class before your arrival.
**PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN PICK-UP PERMISSIONS IN SKYWARD TO EVERY PERSON YOU INTEND TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD, INCLUDING EMERGENCY CONTACTS. You can edit this information in the 2023-2024 Forms Packet in Skyward Family Access. There are individual boxes that must be checked in order to give pick-up permissions.
Meal Accounts
Click here to add money to your child's meal account and view breakfast/lunch menus. There is a Free/Reduced Lunch application form available in the Skyward Back-to-School Forms packet.
Cell Phones
Students may use their personal technology before/after school/during lunch and in the hallways during passing periods. Class time is instructional time. Students may not use their cell phones during class. All phones must be silenced and kept in backpacks during class. Cell phones may not be taken into restrooms.
