Unless otherwise indicated on the Intention Form:
- Current Cohort A and B students will be automatically marked for 4 day in-person learning.
- Current Cohort C students will be automatically marked for 5 days of virtual learning.
After April 21st...
...students who are marked for 4 day In-Person learning will be able to opt-out if there are Covid-related concerns. Families who are marked as Virtual will not be able to opt-in to In-Person learning for the remainder of the school year.
Teaching a hybrid model (both in-person and virtual at the same time) is challenging. Since In-Person learning for younger students has proven to be more effective and safe, we hope to see even more students returning to the classroom on May 10th.

PE Updates from Mrs. Poulsen
In April and May students will be participating in activities using jump ropes, frisbees, balls that bounce for dribbling, and scoops made from empty plastic gallon milk or water containers. I will be sending emails through Schoology to remind students of what they will be need for weekly lessons.
Students that are learning virtually will need equipment to practice skills while in Goggle meet and to practice with at home. I will also be sending directions how to make certain pieces of equipment at home.
Hybrid learners that will be seeing me in person in gym will need to wear tennis shoes, clothes comfortable to exercise in, and a water bottle. Please do not bring Gatorade or any other type of drink besides water. Students will be given many drink and masks breaks during PE time.
Yearbooks
With the uncertainty of when students will actually be returning to the building. We have decide to do a fall 2021 delivery of the yearbook. This means that instead of getting a yearbook in June before school dismisses, the book would deliver mid-August to early Sept. With a fall delivery book, this would allow for spring class portraits to be included, and give us the most amount of time to include all types of content like Field Day, 5th Grade Farewell, Spring Musical, etc. At the end of the school year, we will provide all students with autograph inserts, so that they will be able to have that activity before school dismisses for the summer.
The Yearbook Staff invites students, parents, faculty and staff to submit photos for this year's yearbook of virtual learning, movement breaks, community events, students with their masks on, or just having fun to hshiflett@bcps.org.
Yearbooks may be purchased by going to ybpay.lifetouch.com and entering order#1742821.
