PURSUE PERFECTION...ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE
Week In Review
Open House
We suggest that you have some sort of sign-in sheet (think quick and easy) and a short presentation that includes the basics of your class and interesting things students will be doing throughout the year.
Arrive early to have a place to park and get situated before parents begin rotating classes. There will also be childcare available in the small gym provided by Student Council. You may drop your children off about 5:45 PM.
Below is the bell schedule that parents will have so you can begin to plan your evening accordingly.
Wipe Out Willis!
Remember to encourage your Advocate class to dress up with some Hawaiian flare on Wednesday! Send class pictures to Mrs. Parkerson.
Also, Cougar Cup points will be awarded for teams that dress alike (and "Instagram" it!)
Junior Ring Assembly
Juniors will be called down to the auditorium for the assembly. Please remind students of the appropriate behavior during a presentation.
All other classifications will remain in 2nd period to use as a study hall until the assembly is over. Please remind any students who have off periods that morning to be on campus a little earlier that day.
CSHS Culinary Presents "A Taste of China"
In Other News...
Have you sent a parent email out recently? If so, thank you! If not, please remember to do so at least once every two weeks. If you are having issues with the system, please let us know so we can assist you. Also, please check for spelling and grammar before sending.
Leadership Team will meet on Tuesday at 8:25 AM in the front conference room.
Make-up picture day for fall underclassmen photos will be October 14 during all lunches in the commons.
So you can plan accordingly, we will be giving the PSAT to our Sophomores and Juniors on Wednesday, October 15th. We will be on an alternate bell schedule. Testing will begin at 8:30 and end at 11:45. Look for more details as the date gets nearer!
The deadline for regular registration of the ACT is Friday, September 19 - Testing date on October 25. Students may register at actstudent.org.
TEACHERS OF JUNIORS: If a junior is planning to take dual credit courses next year (English 4, Government, and/or Economics), they need to take the SAT or ACT and meet Blinn's qualifying scores by June 12. The students will need to send their scores to Blinn.
Remember to show the daily announcements during Advocate. If you would like an announcement to be posted, send Randi Costenbader an email with the announcement written exactly as you want it to appear on the screen with the dates it should run.
