Free Breakfast and Lunch Program
West Hartford Public Schools Nutrition Services
Updates for Fall 2022
Due to an extension of regulations by the State of CT, student meals will remain FREE for ALL students at the start of the 2022-23 school year.
Free meals are not expected to last the entire 2022-23 school year.
The duration of the free meals will depend on the funding we receive from the State of Connecticut. We are estimating that this free-for-all meals period will last for the first 45-60 school days.
We will keep you updated when we have an anticipated end date.
Student ID number (all grade levels)
From the START of SCHOOL, all students are required to enter their student ID number at the register as they did before the pandemic.
For quicker transactions at the cafeteria (high school)
Grade 9-12 students can access the barcode generator on their mobile devices by accessing this link https://paypams.com/barcode, entering their Student ID number, and clicking ‘Generate Barcode.' They can save the barcode to their phones or go to the link each time they need it.
It is very important that families fill out free and reduced meal applications as soon as possible so that they are set to receive benefits when the free-meals-for-all period is over.
