Big picture

Dear Families-Read on for the News

From our Parent Crew

We have heard from many families who are looking for ways to create social connections for their children. In order to empower families to make social connections during our Remote Yet Connected learning, we have created a PPCS family message Board. The message Board can be found here: https://ppcs.boards.net and is linked on our website. Please consider joining so that we can all stay connected.

Pumpkin Fun

PPCS students are invited to participate in a pumpkin decorating contest. Carve, paint, or otherwise decorate a pumpkin between now and Oct. 31st and submit a photo to ppcsparentcrew@gmail.com along with your students name. Prizes will be awarded for the spookiest pumpkin, the prettiest pumpkin, and the most creative pumpkin in grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. All entries will be displayed on the Parent Crew web page and social media. Winners will be announced on Nov 3.

Mentor Program:

  • Contact us at ppcsparentcrew@gmail.com if you are a returning family or a new family who would like to be matched in our mentor program. Mentors can help answer questions about our school and build new connections! We're particularly looking for mentors with kids in the younger grades.

Chromebook Cords

If you swapped chromebooks and find you have two cords, please drop the spare cord off. We are in need of chromebook cords. Thank you!

Immunization Records

Please be sure your student’s immunization records are on file at PPCS. Seventh grade families - your students require two new vaccines, Tdap and Meningococcal. If you choose not to have these immunizations done, then you must submit an exemption form. Please contact the office with questions.

Do not use the "Connect with Jeneille Branen" button...

We have become aware that Facebook/Smore (our newsletter platform) is adding a "Connect with Jeneille Branen" button at the bottom of the Quail Call. This button was not added on our end and we were unaware that they were adding that little piece of info at the bottom. I as the creator of Quail Calls can not even see it because they don't even show it on my platform. If you have tried contacting Jeneille through this button and have gotten no response, it is because we have not been notified that there were any messages. We honestly can not find where they are being put. If you have tried contacting us in this way we apologize for any lack of communication and any frustration this may have caused. We have contacted Smore support and are working to get it removed. In the meantime please ignore the "Connect with..." button and contact us through the office@palouseprairieschool.org. link next to the logo at the end of our newsletter.

Thank you!

Spread the Word...

No Blood Drives this year

PPCS will not be hosting blood drives this year, but we encourage you to donate. The Best Western University Inn hosts a Vitalant blood drive every Monday. Call 877-258-4825 to schedule an appointment. All donations of blood support local hospitals.

Moscow Co-op Dime in Time

The Co-op has selected PPCS as one of their recipients to receive donations for our playground! Now through the end of November, for each reusable bag shoppers bring in, they will be able to donate their dime to Palouse Prairie Charter School, so spread the word to your friends and family. (Please note, cashiers have a lot to remember and sometimes forget to ask, so customers should feel free to remind them where to donate their dime!).

Box Tops

Box Tops for Education is now digital! Instead of clipping the coupons, you simply download the Box Tops app and scan your grocery store receipt. All eligible products will be identified and automatically updated online. Our school will be sent a check for the earnings.
