Math Learning Focus: 3.MDA.4 Generate data by measuring length to the nearest inch, half-inch and quarter-inch and organize the data in a line plot using a horizontal scale marked off in appropriate units.
Success Criteria:
- I can explain how to use a ruler to measure whole, half, and quarter inches.
- I can record measurement data using whole, half, and quarter inches.
- I can create a line plot with horizontal scale marked off in whole number, half, or quarter units.
- I can generate measurement data by measuring lengths using rulers marked with halves and fourths of an inch.
- I can ask and answer questions from line plots.
Reading Learning Focus# 1: Read grade-level prose and poetry orally with accuracy, appropriate rate, expression, intonation, and phrasing on successive readings.
Reading Learning Focus #2: Ask and answer literal and inferential questions to determine meaning; refer explicitly to the text to support inferences and conclusions.
Success Criteria:
- I can read with accuracy and fluency to support comprehension.

- I can support my opinion with details from the text that I have noted on a graphic organizer.
- I can connect the reasons and details with words like: because, therefore, since, and for
- example.
