School Safety
Elizabeth School District (ESD) has always taken the safety of our students and staff very seriously. However, following the recent tragedy in Highlands Ranch, we want to briefly share the many resources we use (or will soon have). Feel free to visit our Safety Department Website for more details.
- In partnership with the Town of Elizabeth, a new School Resource Officer will start this Fall at EHS and EMS (thanks to your support in the mill levy election)
- Anonymous reporting available for all to use through Safe2Tell and Text a Tip
- The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) is used for drills, staff training, and integrated responses with our local emergency services
- Staff participate in a multi-agency integrated response course with local law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services
- Continued improvements to ESD's timely emergency notification system
- Future staff training focused on saving lives with the Stop the Bleed curriculum
- Future safety measures including cameras on all buses and vape detectors at high schools
Congrats Graduates!
