Brush tail possums

Brush tail possums are Australian native mammals. They are also marsupials which means they have a pouch. Brush tail possums live in trees they are found all over the world in bush land. Brush tail possums eat plants, insects and baby birds. They have very large brown eyes, a long bushy tail fur and sharp claws.

Cats, owls, Tasmanian devils, foxes, large pythons, goannas and dog hurt them. Cutting down there trees and cars can also be a threat. Brush tail possums are nocturnal which means that they sleep during the day and the day and hunt during the night.

Brush tail possums are well known for their unusual fluffy tail.
