Roosevelt Information
A few reminders so you can stay in the know:
~ COVID Mitigation Info: In an attempt to eliminate or reduce the number of students who are identified as close contacts, we will be adding some additional mitigation layers, mostly as it relates to breakfast, snack, and lunch time, when we return from winter break on January 3, 2022. Your help and support in making sure your child is properly masked at all times, including a mask that fits them really well, will make all the difference!
~ Winter BINGO: Be looking for the GREEN BINGO sheet coming home over winter break. Fabulous prizes, sponsored by the amazing Roosevelt PTO, will be awarded at each grade level for getting a reading BINGO. Check it out--read with a stuffed animal, read in your pajamas, etc. FUN for the whole family! :-)
~ ExCEL: For students that are a part of this after school program, this will resume on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. There will NOT be ExCEL the week of January 3.
~ Glove/MItten Donation: We are REALLY short on waterproof gloves/mittens for the kids to use. If you have any extras or wish to donate some, we'd really appreciate it!
~ No School beginning December 23 and continuing through January 2, 2022. We will see Raccoons when they return after the new year on Monday, January 3, 2022. Here's wishing every single Raccoon and their family a restful winter break and a Happy New Year!!!
~ From the School Nurse: As we continue to experience COVID cases, we do our very best to communicate school exposures in a timely manner. That being said, sometimes there is a delay in notification or contact tracing, especially on weekends or over scheduled breaks. However, if you would like to email positive results to me, Heather Hedin, Licensed School Nurse at hhedin1@isd77.org , I do periodically check my emails on my time off. If I am notified of a case and have the needed information, I will do my best to do the contact tracing and notification as soon as possible. That being said, I am not always available on the weekends or may not have all the required information needed for contact tracing. So please continue to be patient as we do our best to work through these situations. As always, if your child is sick, or showing any COVID-like symptoms, please keep them home and have them evaluated/tested.
Here's wishing you the most amazing winter break and a Happy New Year!
See you in 2022!!!
