Idea
1. Objective
Definition: not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts
Synonyms:Nonpartisan
Sentence: Judge Judy has to be objective and can only use the facts in order to be a judge.
2.SUBJECTIVE
Definition: based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions.
Synonym: Instinctive
Sentence: When I picked my 9th grade classes my choices had to be subjective.
3. Bias
Definition: prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another.
Synonym: favoritism
Sentence: I enjoy Chick-fil-a more than other fast food places because of they're bias Cow's against chickens.
Credible/ Valid
believable/ having a sound basis in logic or fact
Synonym: Logical, justifiable.
Sentence: In any class discussion you must have valid points and be able to justify youreelf.
Counterargument
argument or reasoning put forward to oppose an idea or theory developed in another argument
SYNONYMS: Protest
Before same sex was legal there was many counterarguments, even now
they go on.
Fallacy
a mistaken belief, esp. one based on unsound argument
synonym: misconnection
Everyday people make silly fallacies usually thinking they're correct.
