May is Mental Health Awareness Month
In a world full of uncontrollables, the one thing you can control is YOU. For Mental Health Awareness Month, make the commitment to try one of these tips to help you feel better and do better.
Practicing daily gratitude is one of the most proven ways to decrease anxiety and increase mental wellness. During Mental Health Awareness Month, try to start each morning by thinking of three things you are grateful for to help you feel better and do better!
If you are struggling with mental health, don't be afraid to ask for help! Reach out to your teacher, counselor, or parent to help you find the right tools and support to feel better and do better.
Social Media Safety
We continue to see an increase in inappropriate use of social media among students. We can't stress enough the importance of parents monitoring their kids' use of cell phones and social media.
Please have a conversation with your kids about the use of social media apps and the importance of taking safety measures to keep your children safe. For more information about please check out this article: Teaching Kids to Be Smart About Using Social Media.
