FAMILY P.E. WEEK DECEMBER 5th-9th!!

We are excited to share with you that our school will be participating in Family P.E. Week from December 5th- 9th. We are inviting parents/guardians or caregivers to join their child during P.E class. This will be an interactive experience, so come in your workout clothes. We hope these activities will allow you to experience firsthand the fun and enjoyment that being active as a family provides. (We cannot accommodate any siblings at this event.)

To participate in Family P.E. Week, you must sign up at the link: Family P.E. Week Sign Up Survey

* If there are many parents who would like to join us for a certain class, we will then do a sign-up lottery. Your name will be on a spin wheel for a chance to join your child in class.

COMPLETE IMPACT AID PARENT SURVEY BY DECEMBER 16th!

Prince William County Schools (PWCS) is eligible for Federal Impact Aid grants due to the federal presence in our area from federally connected personnel, businesses, and agencies.

The federal Impact Aid program is designed to assist local school districts that enroll federally connected students. The funds secured from the program will become part of the PWCS general operating budget and help reduce the amount of local monies needed to provide a quality education for your children.

PWCS uses the PWCS Electronic Impact Aid Form to identify federally connected students and to support our request for Impact Aid resources.

If you need more information regarding the Federal Impact Aid Annual Parent-Student Survey, please call 703-791-8315 to speak with a staff member or email impactaid@pwcs.edu.

Go to the PWCS Impact Aid Survey website for instructions on how to complete the survey in ParentVue.

Be Prepared for Inclement Weather!

As Dr. McDade shared previously in her September 30 message to families, employees, and the community:

  • Code Orange, new last year, is an asynchronous learning day for students and remote work for non-essential employees used when inclement weather conditions are marginal and impact road or sidewalk safety but are not so severe as to cause substantial impacts.

  • Code Red Days, when schools are closed for students and employees, may still occur when conditions warrant their use.

With the weather getting colder, now is a good time to refer to the Inclement Weather Codes page and information on weather cancellation procedures to see how delayed openings or school closings may affect schools and activities.

For additional information, refer to the Weather FAQs page.
